I've had my Flickr account since July of 2009. I was a curious amateur, taking a few steps into the photography world with lots of self portraits and experimental shots. I had time, I had a decent camera and I wanted to make some pretty images.
Since then I've grown by leaps and bounds, gotten a lot of formal and informal training and developed (haha!) a solid base of skills and a style I'm really proud of. While a lot of pros would create a new account and start fresh, I like having my timeline intact. A lot of my early work is silly, rough, perhaps pointless. But it's still my work. It's what got me where I am today.
In recent times, I average between 1500-3000 views a day on Flickr, people visiting and checking out my latest work, or stumbling across something elsewhere and being led there.
I had to laugh when I went to check my account and saw that yesterday I had exactly 5,555 views. Worth noting that. Such a perfect number!
If you're interested in seeing how my work has grown in the past 5 years, or if you're just curious to see my latest projects and shoots, everything can be found there.
A picture is worth a thousand words. Here are a thousand words about my pictures.
