Our friend Nikisha has been a great supporter of our projects for a few years now and we're always excited to plan out a shoot with her. Decked out in a beautiful vintage black dress, Nikisha brought her A game to our sunset shoot in Old Town Manassas. Her choice from our armory was a single handed dueling saber made by the bladesmiths of Baltimore Knife and Sword. We picked that piece up at the Winter Wonderland Workshop several years ago. Adding in a fabulous sunset from Mother Nature herself, and we had ourselves a fantastic shoot. Great thanks to Nikisha, and her baby wrangler Marty.
Stay tuned for more entries in our Wonder Women series. Just a few months left in the year, but we're curious to see how many shoots we can manage to fit in. As always, to see more images from this series, visit it's page or check out our gallery on Flickr
Kristen Pilgrim joined us right quick after her headshot session to model for our 7th Masque session! We are eternally grateful for her being available to join us on short notice and for her awesome presence. Kristen is a fantastic actress and actor/combatant, and we certainly played to her strengths in the studio. We hope to get her back in the studio soon! Great news! I was just informed that we earned a runner up position on Viewbug! for their 300 Tattoos Contest, we snagged the number 2 spot! That's wonderful! I couldn't be happier. Big thanks to Lexie for her obviously incredible contribution to this image and also thanks to Abbi for her amazing hair and makeup work on that day.
The great story behind this image is that it was really a happy accident. Lexie was lying there and I had crossed behind her to adjust the lights, and I was crossing back when I saw this image/angle and asked her to pose real quick. I snapped a few at this set up, then went back to shoot her in profile. I'm glad this angle caught my eye, it's really a stellar shot.
For all the details on the contest and to see the other (frankly, amazing. I'm honored to be in such esteemed company,) contest winners, check out Viewbug's Blog here: http://blog.viewbug.com/300-tattoos-photo-contest-winners/

Red Dress shoot number four! Meaghan Sniegowski joined us in Fairfax Town Center (...well, first it was Fairfax Corner, then it was Fair Oaks Mall, THEN it was Fairfax Town Center) for a dynomite shoot! Meaghan is in extraordinary shape, and she hit some amazing poses and turned things up for us last night. She looks fantastic and I'm so grateful that she gave us some time before she headed back to college.
Big credit goes to Abbi for another amazing hair and makeup job. Not to mention lots of assists with the lights....it was a bit breezy last night.
As always, the full shoot can be seen up on our Flickr Stream, and stay tuned for a few more images from this shoot in the coming weeks.
Emily Whitworth joined us once again for a brilliant shoot in Crystal City. Emily is a dear friend of ours and one of our best models. She consistently delivers brilliant poses and fantastic energy for us. Not to mention how simply gorgeous she is! We're extremely happy having her on board for our Red Dress series. Finally got a chance to post shots from my shoot with Olivia last week! Super huge thank you goes out to this amazing young woman, who was free a practically a moments notice. Our original model was unexpectedly called away to an emergency rehearsal, so we got out the Rolodex (not really, we went on Facebook, who still has a Rolodex?) and started seeing who was free. Lucky for us, Olivia had a flexible schedule and was able to meet us for a shoot.
We got some beautiful images, I got to play with some new strobe techniques and a good time was had by all. Another fantastic red dress shoot gets added to the portfolio. For more images from our shoot with Olivia (or more from our Red Dress Series), check out our Flickr Portfolio HERE.
A few weeks back we had an amazing shoot with my dear friend, Bernadette Bentley. I've known Bernadette for something like 14 years now, but this is the first chance we've had to work together. Visiting the DC area from her home in LA, she was kind enough to find time to meet us in the studio and do some shooting. We did 2 spectacular looks and a Masque shoot, making her our third Masque model.
Our deepest thanks to Bernadette for sharing her time, talent and beauty with us. It was wonderful catching up with her.

Our second Masque shoot was done with the lovely Michele. Michele is a new model with us and I have to say I am thrilled that she agreed to shoot with us. She has a natural grace and presence that was a fantastic addition to our Masque series. She took to the studio space like a pro and we got an impressive number of fantastic photos.
For all the images, check out our Flickr Portfolio.
Expect a second round of photos from that shoot in the near future, we've got a lot of amazing shots. Hopefully Michele will be interested in joining us again for another shoot. We'd love to have her back!
Finally got a chance to sit down and power through our first Masque shoot. It seems like forever since I posted the preview shot.
A huge thank you to our first Masque model, Ally. Ally has worked with us a few times in the past, doing some portrait work and one of our Concrete Elegance shoots. She's a lovely model and we're always thrilled to work with her.
For more images of our shoot with Ally, check out our brand new Masque page.
Expect our next Masque shoot in the next week or so. We've got some fun ideas and we can't wait to see what we can make happen.
Another fantastic shoot with Lexie. She was very excited to do a retro, pinup look and I think we nailed it. She spotted a photo in this style on Instagram, loved it and couldn't wait to get back in the studio. Shooting with Lexie is always an adventure and this time was no different! Thanks to Lexie for her beauty and talent and thanks to Abbi for another beautiful hair and makeup job.

Fabulous modeling shoot with a FGP favorite, Lexie. We always have a blast working and shooting with Lexie and we're thrilled she joined us in the studio Tuesday. Her poise, her beautiful ink and her energy are such fantastic assets, and we always get some magnificent images with her.
Thanks to Lexie and Abbi for all their hard work.
A picture is worth a thousand words. Here are a thousand words about my pictures.
