![]() We are closing in on the finish line! With this solo shoot, featuring the return of Bernadette Bentley as Glitz, we have wrapped our solo shoots for this season of Sucker Punched! Just one or two more group shoots to close out this season. We are so thrilled to have Bernadette back with us for this series, she's just a joy to work with and her professionalism, creativity, and costume work are just on point! A few fancy upgrades to her character, and we were ready to roll! As always, a huge thanks to Bernadette for taking the time to be part of Sucker Punched. Hopefully we will see her again soon and get her in another one of our creative endeavors.

I must say, it has been a really great season at the Maryland Renaissance Festival. Lots of great shows, lots of wonderful friends, and the weather has been fairly cooperative on the days we've made it down. If you get a chance, be sure to buy tickets in advance and go *early*. Earlier than you think you need to. Traffic will kill your day if you let it! (Click on any image for a larger look)
Because we are clearly crazy.... not really, it's mostly a matter of scheduling. In an effort to get everything lined up for our next batch of SP4 greatness, we first did a double header shoot with our new friends Caitlyn and Lena, then a solo shoot with Christina, then a group shoot with all three of those ladies, plus Melanie from just a few weeks ago! It was a really fun series of shoots, no doubt about that. ![]() First up we had our friend Caitlyn join us from her life on the road. Caitlyn is a stuntwoman, most recently working for the Marvel Live stunt show as Nebula! She messaged us in the middle of that tour to say she wanted to be on the SP4 team, and she came highly recommended from some of our friends in the stunt and fight world. We are so glad we brought her onto the team, because she's the best! She's so much fun to work with and hang out with and her energy is infectious in the best possible way. It's really wonderful working with such a gifted and experienced physical performer, Caitlyn has an amazing awareness of her body and the space around her and put so much character into her post apocalyptic warrior, Tink. We dearly hope to see her again soon, hopefully our travels will allow us to cross paths. ![]() Next up our new friend, cosplayer extraordinaire, Ms. Lena Volkova, joined us to create her character, Lucy. In another show of brilliance from the SP4 team, Lena made most of her outfit. That kimono top was all hand made by her, just for this shoot. It's amazing! Her character is a fantastic melding of classic and modern, with lots of her personal touches thrown in, just the way we like it. Be sure to follow her on Facebook and Instagram to catch all the amazing projects she's involved in, including the Cosplay Cast, a weekly podcast on the weird and wild world of cosplay. She's got tons of tips and information to share, be sure to give her a follow! ![]() Third shoot for the weekend, Ms. Christina Choi, dc model and artist, joined the team through our casting call and put together a fun and exciting character concept. Mixing and matching some very avante garde images and ideas, we came up with her character, Akiko. A warrior with claws and psionic abilities, her outfit is a little rave, a little comic book, a little S&M... and it works. It's a great look for the SP4 crew and was really fun to shoot with. We are almost at the end! Just one more solo shoot and possibly 2 more group shoots before Sucker Punched 4 wraps! It's been a great ride, and we are so grateful to all the amazing people who've helped make it happen. Huge thank you to our models, our backers, and our fans.
Stay tuned here to see the wrap up happen! ![]() As promised a few weeks ago, we have an amazing shoot with Melanie! Her character, Haven, has one of the most interesting back stories I've heard, and we are just in love. A little cyber punk, a little modern magic, a lot of roughed up, grungy elements.... we love it. Haven is a badass warrior woman and... I'm not going to give it away just yet. We're saving back stories for when the gallery goes live. You'll just have to wait. After a few adjustments from her fitting and a lot of distressing of various elements, the look for Haven came together really well. Melanie brings a huge reservoir of energy and movement training with her into the studio, and it shows. Shout out to Abbi, for the design for the shield, it looks awesome. We've already started working on some ideas for more shoots with Melanie, so expect to see lots more of her in the future. ![]() Next, but not, for a change, on the same day, we shot with Maecy Richardson! Maecy blew us away during her test shoot and we knew we needed to have her in the project. She's got this amazing bubbly energy and she comes highly recommended by Ilyana, who you may remember as Mercy from SP3 and 4. Maecy put her total faith in us to come up with a kick ass character for her, and we went to the well and came back with an Appleseed inspired, SWAT character, loaded up with modern weapons and armor. I think we did quite well, all things considered. Maecy asked for some golden highlights and we were all too happy to oblige her. Only 4 solo shoots left! Counting down til the end of SP4!
Another wonderful trip to the Maryland Renn Fest! A wonderful time was had by all, much great food and many great shows. If you haven't visited yet, you really should. It's a wonderful time, the shows are top notch, the food is... well some of it is amazing! The vendors have amazing crafts for sale, it's a really great time. Plus you might get your picture taken by one of the many wonderful photographers that frequent the faire.
